The PD Online mapping service includes flooding information. The flooding information in the Ipswich Planning Scheme has been prepared for development assessment purposes and is based on computer modelling of a 1% probability (1 in 100) average recurrence interval. It does not depict actual flood events (such as 1974 or 2011) and therefore should not be relied on for flood damage assessment or evacuation.
Temporary Local Planning Instrument 01/2012 - Flooding Regulation suspends and replaces parts of the Ipswich Planning Scheme for a period of up to 12 months (up until 19 June 2013). This TLPI incorporates a revised flood regulation line in the form of the Adopted Flood Regulation Line. Reference should be made to the TLPI regarding flooding regulations whilst the TLPI remains in effect.
